Booking holidays during term time

In conjunction with the Schools' absence policy regarding holidays during term time, we highly advise that students in Years 10, 11, 12, and 13 refrain from scheduling any holidays from school until at least July 1st each year. Since the majority of qualifications necessitate assessments and work to be completed throughout the academic year, any absence from school prior to this date may result in missed examinations and assessments/coursework that cannot be rescheduled for another date.

Examination certificates

If you have not returned to Emrys ap Iwan, please contact the Exams Team directly to arrange for collection.

If a past student is unable to collect their certificates, they can nominate another person to collect them on their behalf. The ex-student would need to email exams@emrysapiwan.conwy.sch.uk to notify. In the email it needs to state the identity of the person who will be collecting the certificates and that person should bring with them proof of who they are. Certificates will not be issued to a 3rd party without written permission (no text messages/phone calls allowed).

Examination certificates are very important and are evidence of the grades attained. Please ensure certificates are kept in safe place as it is becoming increasingly common to be asked show/provide them for college, university places and job applications.

Lost certificates

Certificates are confidentially destroyed two years after their issue (as per JCQ guidelines). We are unable to provide copies of certificates, and the Awarding Bodies need to be contacted directly for these. Please note that there may be a fee for requesting copies of certificates from Awarding Bodies.
